Safe... again

Husky came walking over to the den with Demon in his mouth. he walked down in the den and gently laid Demon down on the ground. he then walked over to Zelda and laid by her side. he licked Zelda on the snout. and started to watch all the pups running around playing with eachother. he was happy to have all his pups and his mate by his side.

Zelda nudged Husky lightly as Agaron chewed on Delilah's ear. She stretched, and licked Husky's snout.

Husky smiled and licked Zelda back. he then looked at the pups run around. Demon rolled around and played with Scooper. Husky soon fell asleep.

Zelda continued to watch the pups play as Husky slept. It's about time he got some sleep, Zelda thought, he's been working a lot since the pups came.

Husky continued to sleep. without knowing it, Scooper started to use Husky's tail to Tug of war.

Zelda, turning to see Scooper, walked over to him, and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck. She carried him over to where she was, lay down, and began to groom him.

suddenly Husky woke up. he could smell something. "whats that? a wolf?" he said and ran out of the den. he couldn't see any wolf or dog outside the den. but he knew that there were something.

Zelda looked into the sunlight pouring from the den opening. She knew her mate would protect her, but maybe it was her turn to fight. She let go of Scooper, ho immediately went chasing after Demon. She walked towards the den opening, and looked out. Husky was frantically sniffing about on the scent of a wolf.

"there is something" he said again "i think its coming closer! stay here. i'll check it out" Husky began to follow the scent. it came closer and closer. Husky couldn't stop wondering what it was. a dog or a wolf? it smelled like something between.

Zelda came out of the den a little more, her silver head peeking above the opening. Husky disappeared into the brush, and Zelda crept back into the den, not anting to leave the pups.

Husky still couldn't find anything. the sent was now extremely strong. it was almost like the canine surrounded him.

Zelda tended to the pups as she listened amusingly to Husky's loud sniffing. "I don't think you'll find anything!" she shouted, grooming Delilah.

"Maybe you're! i just can't find it" Husky shouted. he then walked back to the den. "strange. very strange" he said. he walked down to the pups and laid down again.

Zelda snuggles Husky, when the scent also drifted to her nose. She looked into the tree tops, where two red, glowing eyes perches. A crooked smile loomed under the eyes, and a winged wolf flew down from the tree. She slowly stalked towards the den, her eyes glowing with pure hate.

Husky caught the sent again. Husky walked out of the den "can't you smell that..." He he saw flying wolf. "what do you wan't" he snarled at the wolf. he didn't think of anything else than Zelda, the pups and his new flying enemy.

The wolf, who's name was Pure Chaos, shook her head intently. "No more than your blood, and you dead," she said, her red eyes like daggers into Husky's. She folded her silver wings, and waited for the dog's first move.

"you'll never get through me!" Husky snarled. he was ready to launch at the wolf at any second.

Chaos's wings twitched, ready to flap at any moment to dodge Husky's jaws. She chuckled lowly, in an evil way. Her sharp teeth gleamed in the sunlight for a split second, before landing on Husky's neck. The blood she wished for poured into her mouth, but the dog was not dead just yet.

"you got me. or do you?" Husky spined around in the air. and finally Chaos let go. Husky landed safely on a tree. he then tried to strike at Chaos again.

Chaos's wings beat wildly, lifting her to the tree tops once more. She looked at Husky amusingly, the crooked smile tugging at the corner of her mouth once more.

"let me get that smile off your face!" Husky snarled. he then launched at Chaos again. but this time he hit Chaos on her troat with his fangs.

Chaos yelped, her wings flapping quickly. With great force, one last beat of her wings knocked Husky loose, and she flew off to the waterfalls.

Husky falled down and hit the hard ground with his face. "that hurt" he said with a calm yelp. "Zelda!?" he shouded "Zelda?!" he couldn't move his body becourse of the fall.

Zelda crept out of the den, all pups finally resting. She rushed over to Husky. "Husky!" she exclaimed. "I'll take you to the den." She picked him up on her back, and carried him to the den. Lying him don gently, she said, "I'll go get some herbs," and rushed off.

"you don't have to do that" Husky said. he tried to lift his body but he triped. "i'll guess i'll be staying here"
