Illusion of Midnight

Kiba padded through the undergrowth, watching the shadows. Anything could be an enemy.

Vivaldi - blending in perfectly since he was a black fox - watched the strangely colored creature.

Kara looked behind her. 'Is someone else here?' she thought. She heard a scuttling. 'No... That was just a hare.'

Kaze sat in one of the biggest trees. he enjoyed the nice cold night.

Vivaldi waited for any sign of aggression.

Kaze suddenly spotted something that looked like a canine. he decided to check it out. so he jumped down on smaller tree.

Vivaldi followed,darting from tree to bush to tree. To anyone,he was probably just a fast shadow unless they saw his earrings and/or his feather.

Kiba watched Kaze in a nearby tree. He jumped to a smaller one. Kiba walked under the tree and sat down, forgetting Kaze and watching Kara.

Kaze saw Kiba. he didn't introduce himself, he wanted to make sure that this canine was a wolf. not another one of those dogs.

Vivaldi suddenly leapt out of his cover and in front of Kara. What are you,strangely-colored canine?"

Kiba stretched and collapsed onto the ground. His scars showed through his pelt when a shaft of moonlight hit him.

Kaze suddenly decided that it was time. he then jumped down from the tree, silent like the wind. and landed on the soft ground.

Kiba shot up and looked at Kaze.

"Well,you don't look like one,you don't smell like one. I think I've come across a spy!" Vivaldi said with a growl.

Kaze turned around. he could see that a white wolf looked at him. "what?" he asked.

"That doesn't mean I have to trust you now,does it?" Vivaldi was still under the impression that it was a spy. He stood there,unblinking.

Kiba relaxed. It was anther wolf. "Nothing." The lone wolf looked at Vivaldi. "Are you sure it's a spy? I've come across strange wolves in my travels."
