| Subject: The Report Button may be your friend Tue Jul 13, 2010 4:40 pm | |
| Lets say you see a post that is insulting, rude, or a other innapropriate thing, and the moderators havnt seen it... what do you do? you could PM a moderator, but he/she might not be on in the next few days... you could reply to it, but that would probably only make things worse... or maybe do nothing, but is that the right thing to do? Up the top right-hand side of a post, you will see a little white square with a blue exclamation mark in it, this is the report button. it looks like this: The report button will allow you to flag the post to moderators and administrators as innapropriate. When you report a post, you will be taken to a screen where you can specify the reason for the report, there will also be a text area where you can specify extra details. After submitting a report, the moderators and administrators will be notified about it and then they can review your report and take action as they see fit. If you abuse this feature, you will be warned and then you shall have the permissions to use it removed from your account. However, please do not feel afraid to report a post if you think it may need reporting, we do know the difference between mistakes, points of view, spam, and other things! | |
